The Singapore National Youth Orchestra invites young musicians aged 10 to 18 (as at the year of audition) to join us!
Positions are available in all orchestral sections: strings, woodwinds, brass, harp and percussion.
Pianists aged 10 to 13 (as at the year of audition) who already demonstrate piano profienciency and are interested in mastering a second instrument, as well as young violinists who are keen to learn the viola are also welcome to apply for the auditions.
Thank you for your interest in joining the Singapore National Youth Orchestra. There will be a video screening round for all applicants for prior to the live auditions. Shortlisted applicants will be notified via email. Please refer to our Audition Guidelines above for the video requirements.

Thank you for your interest in joining the Singapore National Youth Orchestra. We are no longer accepting applications for the SNYO live auditions held on 11 December 2024 (Application Deadline: 10 November 2024).
For all audition applicants, you will be required to submit a link to your video on the application form that will be available on this webpage when applications are open. Please ensure that you have read our updated Audition Guidelines on what is required in the video submission. You will be informed of the results of the video screening round at least two weeks before the live audition date.
The next round of SNYO Auditions will be held in March 2025 – do check this page again in January 2025 if you wish to apply.
We seek your understanding that the SNYO is unable to provide feedback regarding all auditions due to the high volume of audition applications that we receive.
